About 19mm Tempered Glass
19mm tempered glass, also call 19mm toughened glass, 19mm hardened glass, 19mm reinforced glass, 19mm ESG glass. It is well-known as high safety glass, mainly processed from 19mm colorless float glass and 19mm ultra clear low iron float glass, fabricated by heating annealed glass to over 600°C and cooling it rapidly, which locks the outer surfaces of the glass in a state of high compression, and the core or center of the glass in compensating tension.
Types of 19mm Safety Tempered Glass
With different float glass and different processing, we have 19mm clear tempered glass, 19mm low iron tempered glass, 19mm frosted sandblasted tempered glass, 19mm screen printing tempered glass, 19mm ice cracked tempered glass, 19mm digital printing tempered glass, 19mm curve tempered glass, etc.
Characteristics of 19mm Tempered Glass
• High Strength. The tempered glass can resist bending and hitting very well because its strength is about 5times higher than normal annealed glass.
• High Safety. The tempered glass is human harmless, because it turns into obtuse angles granules when it is broken. And the tempering process greatly reduces the risk of the glass thermal breakage, which could help reduce loss.
• Heat Stability. The tempered glass is capable of withstanding a temperature change of 250 to 320℃ while normal annealed glass can only bear 20 to 100℃.
• Special processing. After the tempered glass is finished, we couldn’t do any process on it. So if need to custom cut to size, drill holes, polish edges, cut notches, etc. we should do them before tempering.
