Little knowledge hidden in doors and windows
We see all kinds of window glass in ordinary times, but they actually contain a lot of little knowledge.
1.In the cold winter, there will be a layer of ice on the indoor side of the window glass, but not outdoors?
In the cold winter, especially in the middle of the night, the temperature is extremely low, and the water vapor in the indoor air meets condensation to form ice and is adsorbed on the glass. But the outdoor temperature is always low, and the water vapor content in the air is low, so there will be no ice on the outside of the window glass.
2. Most of the windows in the bathroom and toilet are made of frosted glass. What role does it have?
Frosted glass is also called frosted glass. It is the surface of flat glass that is processed into a uniform matte surface by mechanical sandblasting, manual grinding or hydrofluoric acid dissolution. Light can be refracted when it hits the glass, but due to the rough surface, its refraction is messy, so it has the characteristics of light transmission but not see-through. This kind of glass is mostly used in rooms that need to be concealed or undisturbed, such as doors and windows in bathrooms, toilets, and offices.
3. At night, we can't see the external objects clearly in the room, but we can see the images of the indoor objects in the glass; while in the daytime, we can see the outdoor objects, but we can't see the image of the indoor objects in the glass?
We know that when light hits the glass, both reflection and refraction occur. At night, there are lights indoors, and the glass reflects the indoor light much stronger than the outdoor light entering the room. Therefore, people in the room can clearly see the image formed by the glass through the indoor objects, while the outdoor objects cannot be seen during the day. The situation is just the opposite.
